AN INCOMPLETE LIST OF THOSE WHO USE METAL “TONGS” THAT ROUTINELY INJURE AND KILL SNAKES AND THOSE WHO ACTIVELY SUPPORT THE PRACTICE.

(Note: The use of metal tongs to handle venomous snakes is illegal in most jurisdictions, including NSW and Victoria in Australia. This includes the rare cases where injury to the snake does not occur.)

End note: The use of tongs was condemned by a Federal Court Judge in a court case at end 2004, when Bruce George and others were sued for misuse of the Hoser trademark (upheld). To deflect ongoing attention from the cruel use of tongs, the losers of that case and others have cobbled together and “sponsored” a series of “anti-Hoser” campaigns and even an anti-Hoser petition (started on 18 July 2006) falsely alleging cruelty by Raymond Hoser. It is no coincidence that the first seven tong butchers named (in green) above are all “official sponsors” of the “anti-Hoser petition”. All post-dates the court findings against Tongs and is solely as a smokescreen to divert attention from their own cruelty and hostility to reptiles.
