UNIVERSITIES, RESEARCH INSTITUTIONS
As one of the world's leading herpetologists (professional reptile botherer), Raymond Hoser is in demand to lecture to university groups, conferences, societies, etc.
He has given keynote speeches to conferences and gatherings in most Australian states as well as overseas.
Besides bringing in live reptiles as needed or available, his photo archive is second to none and includes top quality photos of most Australian species of reptile and variant as well as many non-local varieties such as the well-known snakes and lizards from Africa, Asia and the Americas.
As a public speaker, there is probably none so polished and captivating and who is confident of what he does and doesn't know.
Hence for reptile societies in Australia who regularly hold gatherings, he is generally regarded as the speaker of choice.
Raymond Hoser's curriculum vitae is extensive and includes nine books (only two on wildlife), although one includes the definitive "Australian Reptiles and Frogs", over 100 definitive scientific papers and contributor to countless other books, articles and so on.
He's pioneered keeping methods now standard world-wide and discovered and named species of venomous and non-venomous snakes including a python from New Guinea and various "Brown Snakes" and Death Adders, the latter group of snakes of which he is regarded as the unrivalled world expert.
Pricing for lectures at universities and the like is dictated by factors such as time, location, preparation time and the like and hence is done on a "job by job" basis.
