BROAD PALMED FROG Litoria latopalmata Gunther, 1867
This 4 cm frog is variable in dorsal colour ranging from browns and greys to a fawnish colour. It is possible that more than one frog species are identified here. Found throughout the eastern third of Australia this species occupies most habitats.
A ground dwelling frog, it is usually found under cover during the day such as rocks, logs, debris, etc. It breeds during wet weather in summer around various types of watercourses, ranging from man made dams to floodplains of fast flowing rivers.
