MUELLERS' SKINK Lerista muelleri (Fischer, 1881)
A 13 cm lizard, it is found in most parts of arid Australia and adjoining areas. Found under loose ground litter in the winter months, this species is found in all types of habitat.
During summer this species becomes active at dusk, when it may be seen moving around on the ground surface. Mueller' s skink is believed to be insectivorous.
