RHOMBIFER'S GECKO Oedura rhombifer Gray, 1845
Found throughout tropical Australia and some arid parts of the Northern Territory and Queensland this gecko grows to 14 cm.
The Rhombifer's Gecko occupies most habitats. It is both ground dwelling and arboreal, sheltering by day under ground litter and tree bark. This lizard is common around human habitations, and is often caught searching for insects at night.
