SMOOTH KNOB TAILED GECKO Nephrurus levis De Vis, 1886
A large 13 cm gecko it is found throughout most parts of arid Australia. The Smooth Knob Tailed Gecko lives in a variety habitats but is most common in sandy habitats, where it lives by day in burrows either dug by itself or other animals.
This lizard forages at night, feeding on insects and smaller geckoes. It lays two eggs.
