BEADED GECKO Lucasium damaeum (Lucas and Frost, 1896)
Found throughout the most arid parts of Australia, this 7 cm gecko is found in all states of Mainland Australia.
The Beaded Gecko is a terrestrial species which by day occuies burrows constructed by other animals, concealed in spinifex Triodia sp. or other vegetation. At night this gecko covers considerable areas in search of its' insect food, and is commonly found crossing roads.
