In the lead-up to the 2000 Olympics, the Australian government has pulled out all stops to stifle dissent and present a false picture of life here to the outside world.

In spite of numerous attempts to silence him, the government has failed to stop his corruption books becoming best-sellers. They've also failed to get him off the internet and his USA and UK-based websites get thousands of hits – mostly from Australia.
NOW the Australian government has written to booksellers across the country and told them not to sell his corruption books. If they do – they will go to jail!
In the firing line now are two books titled "Victoria Police Corruption" and "Victoria Police Corruption – 2".
The titles are deceptive. The books also cover corruption in all levels of Australian government and the legal system.
The books paint an accurate and yet disturbing picture of life in Australia.
Australia is shown to be a country where much of the population live in fear, human rights are routinely violated, the media is tightly controlled and news is routinely suppressed.
This is not what Australia wants the world to see when it hosts the Sydney Olympics. But this is the real Australia.
As we've said, the Australian government has now told booksellers across the country not to sell books by leading corruption author Raymond Hoser. If they do sell the books then they will go to jail.
This they have put in writing!
Ironically, the government's own law courts have ruled that sales of the books must continue…in fact in a written judgement as recently as 18 April this year.
Victoria Police Corruption and Victoria Police Corruption – 2 were best sellers before the government's ban was enforced.

Meanwhile the Australian government continues to have the audacity to lecture third-world countries on matters such as free speech, human rights and other areas – things that they are a failure on themselves.
